Mission Statement
At Alleycats & Aristocats, we are dedicated to the ethical, humane, and compassionate treatment of all cats—whether found, fancy, feral, or forfeited. We believe that every cat, regardless of its origins, deserves love, dignity, and the opportunity for a better life.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between rescue and responsible breeding, fostering a united community of cat lovers who come together to create positive change. Through education, rehabilitation, and advocacy, we strive to make a meaningful impact in as many feline lives as possible, ensuring each cat has the opportunity to find a safe and loving home.
Inclusivity and kindness are at the heart of everything we do. We welcome all people—of all abilities, backgrounds, faiths, ages, and identities—who share our vision of a more compassionate world for cats. Here, we are more than an organization; we are a cat family.
By preserving ancient aristocat breeds and reducing the population of homeless alleycats, we aim to create a balanced and harmonious future for all felines. Together, we can make a difference—one cat at a time.
About Us
Since starting our rescue in January 2022, we have successfully adopted 1695 cats to indoor homes. We have accomplished our mission through many different avenues. Our organization assists people in finding homes for cats and kittens that have been found as strays or need to be rehomed. We also partner with many Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) groups to assist them in placing any adoptable cats or kittens that they find within their feral colonies.
There is a tremendous need in our area for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services to combat the homeless, community cat issue. We offer a much needed service to these organizations so that adoptable cats and kittens do not have to be returned to the streets; instead they can be adopted to indoor homes. This relieves the burden for caretakers of these colonies to only provide food, medical care, and shelter for cats that are truly feral.
Alleycats & Aristocats has also successfully opened an adoption center in downtown Medina to showcase our cats. It has been met with great enthusiasm within the community. The center has two free-roaming areas for the cats and kittens that are available for adoption. Community members and adopters can visit and play with the cats in these areas.
All of our cats are sterilized, vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated and microchipped before being placed for adoption. Our goal is to stop the endless cycle of unfixed homeless cats that multiply exponentially in our community. With this collaborative effort, we are confident that the number of homeless cats and kittens will decrease over the next few years.
